Glenmorangie is a whiskey distillery in Tain in the Northern Highlands of Scotland and probably one of the most famous whiskey distilleries. The malt used in the production is unpeated so that no smoke aromas detract from the mild fruity character of the Glenmorangie whiskey. The distillery uses Mainly American oak barrels. First, the raw spirit is filled in (mostly first fill) bourbon barrels for 10 years. Then the whiskey is decanted into bourbon barrels, sherry barrels, port pipes or Sauternes barrels for the finish. Glenmorangie achieves a great variability in the whiskey range.

"" Glenmorangie Tarlogan "" from the Legends series is a limited edition and honors the ancient Pict king who is the bearer of the forest around Glenmorangie's precious water source Tarlogie Spring.

It has a very pleasant, harmonious aroma of sweet, creamy vanilla. A touch of oak combines with dried coconut flakes and gives way to fruity notes. Nuances of chocolate, cream and quark round off the soft character. A lovely aftertaste of honey is also perceived. Its finish is reminiscent of sherry whiskey and ends with the flavors of almonds, cherries and oak.
