Tequila Herradura is a tequila distillery in Amatitán, Jalisco, Mexico. Today it belongs to the US beverage manufacturer Brown-Forman. Tequila products sold under the name Herradura are 100% Agaven. Agaven, cooked in rock ovens, distilled in the pot-silent procedure and bottled on the idyllic Hacienda Casa Herradura in the heart of Mexico.
"Herradura Añejo" matures for 25 months in a barrel. This corresponds more than twice the time that the Mexican law specifies for the category Añejo. The long ripening time gives this tequila the intense amber color and the complex spicy taste.
