The Highland Park distillery is a whiskey distillery in Kirkwall on the Orkney island of Mainland in Scotland, UK. It is the northernmost whiskey distillery in Scotland. The distillery has a wide variety of bottlings. All are slightly sweet with notes of heather , Peat, sea air and honey.
Only malted barley may be used for the production of malt whisky. Highland Park whisky is produced according to the brand's traditional recipe and matured in casks that previously contained substances such as sherry. This single malt whisky is matured for 10 years and has a distinct smoky aroma that gives the whisky its captivating flavor.
On the palate, this whisky has a smoky taste with surprisingly fruity notes of apple and orange. There are also aromas of heather and malt.
