The Highland Park distillery is a whiskey distillery in Kirkwall on the Orkney island of Mainland in Scotland, UK. It is the northernmost whiskey distillery in Scotland. The distillery has a wide variety of bottlings. All are slightly sweet with notes of heather , Peat, sea air and honey.
The Dragon Legend from Highland Park was stored in former sherry barrels. This highland park owes its name to its incomparable fieriness and smoky note. This smokiness is typical for the Highland Park Single Malt, but the smokiness of the Dragon Legend is stronger due to the stronger peated malt.
You can sense fresh oak, vanilla, honey and lemon peel in the nose and on the palate. Warming spices and smoke are also added. The finish is smoky.
