The Highland Park Distillery is a whiskey distillery in Kirkwall on the Orkney Isle of Mainland Scotland, United Kingdom. It is the northernmost whiskey distillery in Scotland. The distillery has a wide variety of bottlings. All are slightly sweet with notes of heather , Peat, sea air and honey.
This whiskey is stored in American oak sherry barrels, which gives Highland Park its elegant taste.
Highland Park Loyalty of the Wolf 14 year old single malt scotch whiskey is inspired by the animals that were symbolic of the Vikings who ruled Orkney. The Vikings felt a great affinity for the natural instincts of the wild wolf as loyal and cooperative member of a close-knit pack, but also as a fearless and determined hunter.
Aged in a combination of sherry-aged American oak barrels and ex-bourbon barrels to create a complex whiskey with flavors of vanilla sponge cake, baked apples and cinnamon.
