The Highland Park distillery is a whiskey distillery in Kirkwall on the Orkney island of Mainland in Scotland, UK. It is the northernmost whiskey distillery in Scotland. The distillery has a wide variety of bottlings. All are slightly sweet with notes of heather , Peat, sea air and honey.
This whiskey is stored in American oak sherry barrels, which gives Highland Park its elegant taste.
The collection is inspired by the animals that were symbolic of the Vikings who ruled Orkney. Our ancestors admired the bear's resilience and independence and its highly developed instinct for survival.
The character is mainly driven by sherry-flavored American oak barrels, which give the whiskey aromas of sweet vanilla, nutmeg and ginger, which make the smoky note lovely and light.
