The Highland Park distillery is a whiskey distillery in Kirkwall on the Orkney island of Mainland in Scotland, UK. It is the northernmost whiskey distillery in Scotland. The distillery has a wide variety of bottlings. All are slightly sweet with notes of heather , Peat, sea air and honey.
This whiskey is stored in American oak sherry barrels, which gives Highland Park its elegant taste.
Wings of the Eagle celebrates the wild island climate and its spicy and elegant character reveals a refined combination of aromas that are as complex as the feathers of an eagle's wing.
The character is mainly driven by sherry-flavored European oak barrels. The whiskey combines aromas of sweet dried fruits, warm spices, dark chocolate and marzipan. The aromas are accompanied by fruity notes such as figs and apricots.
