Jack Daniel's is the brand name of a Tennessee whiskey from the small town of Lynchburg, Tennessee, USA. Jack Daniel's Distillery was officially founded in 1866. A few years later, the distillery moved to its current location to be closer to Jack Daniel's main resource: Spring Hollow's mineral-rich cave. Attention to detail in the making of whiskey begins with making your own charcoal to filter. It has the perfect blend of corn, rye and barley. Most importantly, this filtering process allows the whiskey to soak for about twelve days drop by drop through an approximately three meter thick layer of charcoal, which is produced on the premises of the distillery from sugar maple. This gives the whiskey its unforgettable and unique taste.
Jack Daniel's Old No. 7 is the world's best-selling whiskey and comes, drop by drop, from America's oldest registered distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee.
It tastes slightly of fruit and wood notes develop with a distinct spice. Aromas of mild, cooked fruits glazed in brown sugar mix with oak and grain, underlined by a clear hint of vanilla. The finish is pleasantly sweet with accentuated oak that gradually merges into apple.
