In 1780 John Jameson opened the doors of the Jameson Distillery Bow St in Dublin. Jameson Irish Whiskey is made by mixing rich pot still whiskey from malted and unmalted barley with the finest grain whiskey, both of which are distilled three times, to ensure smoothness.
As usual with Jameson, this whiskey is triple distilled. Jameson 18 Year Old is a unique blend of three signature distillates aged for nearly two decades in carefully selected American and European oak barrels.
A strong note of sherry, toffee and wood rises to the nose. On the palate you can notice aromas of caramel, hazelnut and a slight spice. The sherry note is also present on the palate. The finish is slightly spicy and intense.
