The Jose Cuervo Tequila Especial Gold distillery is one of the oldest tequila distilleries in Mexico.

This tequila is made from the finest blue agaves grown on the Cuervo family farm for at least 10 years. A single agave plant takes seven years to grow and mature before it is old enough to be harvested.

The juice from the heart of the agave is then fermented and distilled. The spirit matures in oak barrels for about two and twelve months. This maturing process gives the tequila its beautiful colour.

A soft, sweet scent of vanilla rises to the nose, paired with a hint of oak and slightly spicy notes. On the palate it is very full-bodied and one perceives fruity notes of agave, as well as spicy tones and hints of oak.
