Isle of Jura is a whiskey distillery based in Craighouse on the Isle of Jura, Scotland, UK. Originally founded in 1810, the distillery was reborn in 1963, revitalizing a local community.
This is a modern classic at the age of 12. Calmingly rich in smoky sherry sweetness. It is aged for 12 years in ex-bourbon barrels made from American white oak and finished in Oloroso sherry barrels from Jerez, Spain.
Refined tropical aromas of chocolate, walnut and citrus fruits fill the air. Aromas of honey, salted bananas and brown sugar with a hint of smoke can be felt here on the palate.
