Isle of Jura is a whiskey distillery based in Craighouse on the Isle of Jura, Scotland, UK. Originally founded in 1810, the distillery was reborn in 1963, revitalizing a local community.
The Isle of Jura French Oak is a full-bodied single malt that was released as part of the Special Wood series. Its special maturation in French oak barrels makes the already voluminous taste profile of the Jura distillery appear noticeably more intense.
Notes of cinnamon and charcoal fire fill the air. On the palate you can perceive light peat smoke with cinnamon and a hint of nutmeg. Very finely balanced with a fresh and spicy finish.
