Isle of Jura is a whiskey distillery based in Craighouse on the Isle of Jura, Scotland, UK. Originally founded in 1810, the distillery was reborn in 1963, revitalizing a local community.
"" The Loch "": A single malt whiskey that has been given a wine finish in the 30-year-old Pedro Ximénez sherry barrel. A quiet and almost spiritual place: Market Loch. The pure water of the lake brings the special island whiskey to life. The lake was found 300 meters above sea level and is of great importance for the distillery. Aged in American White Oak Ex-Bourbon casks, "" The Loch "" gets its abundance from handpicked 30-year-old Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.
Fresh aromas of apricots and bergamot fill the air. In terms of taste, it has something of the black beet syrup. On the finish, it has aromas of tropical fruit salad and cracked pepper.
