Kilchoman is one of the younger whiskey distilleries in Scotland and one of nine active whiskey distilleries on the Hebridean island of Islay in Scotland.
The bottling produced by Kilchoman is limited to 17,250 bottles worldwide. For this particular bottling, Kilchoman Distillery used 22 casks which were then combined. 20 first fill casks and 2 refill Olorosso sherry casks. The combination of this bottling gives you very special tastes.
A light smokiness is followed by aromas of fresh strawberries and candied lemon zest. Aromas of orange blossom, soft toffee and cloves fill the air. On the palate there are notes of dark chocolate and roasted walnuts, light tobacco smoke, hints of caramel and dates. The finish is long and slightly smoky.
