Kilchoman is one of the younger whiskey distilleries in Scotland and one of nine active whiskey distilleries on the Hebridean island of Islay in Scotland.
Sanaig is a composition of four and five year old exBourbon and exOloroso sherry barrels, the proportion of exSherry barrels used here is significantly higher than in the Machir Bay bottling.
Aromas of soft fruits with caramel and vanilla fill the air. Toffee and peat smoke can be felt on the palate, accompanied by a light citrus note and a gentle sweetness. In the finish you notice the nice balance between peat, ripe fruits and a slight sweetness.
