Kilchoman is one of Scotland's younger whisky distilleries and one of nine active whisky distilleries on the Hebridean island of Islay in Scotland.
.In Kilchoman Small Batch No. 2, Kilchoman whisky was blended from bourbon casks, sherry casks and Madeira wine casks.
Sweet, cereal peat smoke rises to the nose, underpinned by nice levels of juicy lemons and light heather honey. Notes of dark chocolate are also perceived. The palate is full-bodied and spicy with strong peat smoke reminiscent of a fresh campfire. Toasted cereal with raisins and chocolate chips also join in. The finish fades with sweet notes of raisins and dates and a nice smokiness.
