The accessible single malt from Knockando impresses with its gentle, fruity, sweet notes and pleasant notes of nuts and almonds. Tart, spicy and smoky tones are alien to him, so the whiskey is also suitable as an accompaniment for desserts.
This 15-year-old Knockando has a full, fruity taste and a nutty aroma, for which the distillery is well known, due to the slightly longer maturation in ex-sherry and ex-bourbon barrels.
This whiskey is expressive and intense. Baked fruits, immediately accompanied by sweet spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg, enriched with dark chocolate and sherry. All of these flavors become milder and merge into a finale with woody and toasted notes.
