This is a whiskey from Japan. Founded in 1952, Kumesen Syuzo Distilling Co is based on the island of Okinawa and began distilling spirits from indica long grain rice fermented with native black koji. In 1989, Kumesen began aging his product in bourbon casks and Kujira was born.

 The whiskey is distilled with 100% high quality Indica rice. This whiskey was allowed to mature for 10 years in ex-bourbon casks in the subtropical climate at the southern end of Okinawa in Japan. This gives it its perfectly balanced taste.

 Fresh aromas of nectar fill the air, along with floral notes, various spices and notes of cinnamon. On the palate one perceives light notes of liquorice, dried fruit, especially dates and raisins. The finish is long and here too you can perceive the notes of raisins, liquorice and a light spice.
