Lauder's Sherry Edition Oloroso Cask 40%vol. 1 Liter

Lauder's Scotch Whiskey can be traced back to 1834 and the historic Royal Lochnagar Vaults in Glasgow, making it one of the oldest Blended Scotch Whiskeys in existence. After Archibald Lauder bought the Vaults, the bar became known for having a barber shop in the basement where you could get your hair cut with your drink.

The malt and grain whiskeys from which the blend whiskey is made are first aged separately in charred bourbon casks. The individual whiskeys are then combined to form the blend. These are then stored a second time in Oloroso sherry casks for further aging. Oloroso comes from Spanish and means "fragrant" and has a perfect aroma and flavor that complements Lauder's Blended Scotch Whisky ideally.

Rich notes of oak and chestnuts fill the air. On the palate it is soft and full-bodied. Dried fruit and apple compote are also noticeable on the palate. This is a very balanced whiskey with prominent sherry aromas.
