Albert Michler Distillery is one of the traditional names connected with the former Austro Hungarian spirits world. According to the producer, its original history dates back to 1863 in Silesia. Today, the brand is known for selected rum and spirits bottlings with origins including Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago and the Dominican Republic.
Michler's Old Bert Classic Spiced is an aromatic rum based spirit with 40% vol. According to the producer, this bottling is based on 100% Jamaica pot still rum and refined with a natural spice macerate.
Classic Spiced Recipe No. 120 includes Persian lime, vanilla, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, ginger and peppercorns. This creates a rounded, spicy and pleasantly sweet character with a clear rum base.
On the nose, it shows intense rum notes, citrus, molasses and spices. On the palate, Old Bert Classic Spiced is full bodied, sweetish and spicy with vanilla, toffee, citrus fruit, gentle piquancy and typical pot still character.
The finish is smooth, spicy and lightly sweet. Michler's Old Bert Classic Spiced is especially suited over ice with cola, tonic or ginger beer and fresh orange or lime.
