Mount Gay Distilleries Limited is a Rumbrennerei in Barbados in the Caribbean. The brown Caribbean rum from Barbados is one of the novelties of Mount Gay.
This Mount Gay was aged for 6 years in Madeira casks, which gives it its great aroma profile.The nose is filled with fruity aromas of pear, grapefruit, oak, vanilla and butterscotch. On the palate, the strong aromas of rum are combined with sweet notes of Madeira wine from the cask. Honey notes and sweet, fruity aromas of grapes, pear, citrus peel and dried fruit are added. The finish is dry.
