The "NAGA Rum" comes from the island of Java, which belongs to the Indonesian archipelago and thus comes from Indonesia. There the rum is made using a traditional Asian method.
This is a very interesting rum with a great variety of aromas, which differs significantly from the Caribbean rum distillates. This rum is called Double Cask Rum because it matures in 2 different casks.
After distillation, the Indonesian rum is allowed to mature in Jati wooden barrels (teak) and in ex-bourbon barrels made of American white oak. The special thing about this rum is that it not only matures in two different barrels, but is also married from two different rums.
A hint of light fruitiness, exotic fruits and Asian spice rises into the nose. On the palate one perceives notes of cocoa, cloves, nutmeg and notes of tropical fruits. Bananas and mangoes in particular stand out. The finish is long.
