Pulteney is the name of a distillery for single malt whiskey, located in the port town of Wick in the county of Caithness in Scotland. The unusually shaped pot stills with particularly large boiling balls make for a fragrant whiskey character. This whiskey has a lot to do with the virtues of the barrels it matures in. The distillery uses both American oak ex-bourbon and Spanish oak ex-sherry barrels, with traditional bearings exposed to the invigorating sea air of the North Sea flows in, Old Pulteney captures the taste of the sea in every drop of its liquid gold.

Old Pulteney 10 Years Old is aged by the sea in hand-picked American oak ex-Bourbon barrels. It has a shimmering gold with sweet vanilla, lively citrus fruits and a crisp apple aroma. Mild spices and notes of ripe fruit soaked in honey give the palate wonderful warmth.
