Ophyum 23 Años Solera Grand Premiere Rhum is an aged rum from the Dominican Republic. This expression is produced by Oliver & Oliver and belongs to the Ophyum Grand Premiere range.
The rum is made using the Solera method. Younger and older rum distillates are brought together, with the oldest components in this blend aged for up to 23 years. Maturation takes place in American and French oak casks.
On the nose, it shows dried fruit, caramel, vanilla, dark fruit, chocolate and fine oak. On the palate, the rum is smooth, sweet and full bodied, with notes of toffee, ripe grapes, cherries, vanilla, chocolate, wood and mild spice.
The finish is long, warm and pleasantly rounded, with sweet fruit and spice notes. Ophyum 23 Años is especially well suited for sipping neat at room temperature, over ice or alongside dark chocolate.
