Oliver & Oliver is a family owned rum producer of Cuban origin based in the Dominican Republic. The company specialises in aged rums and uses the Solera method for many of its bottlings.
Opthimus Cum Laude 15 is a mature rum from the Dominican Republic. This bottling comes from Oliver & Oliver and combines Caribbean rum tradition with careful cask selection.
The rum is made from a selected composition of old rums matured for up to 15 years. Medium toasted French oak casks and former bourbon casks made from American white oak are used for maturation.
On the nose, it shows honey, vanilla, caramel, toffee and fresh citrus notes reminiscent of banana and orange. On the palate, Opthimus Cum Laude 15 is balanced and full bodied with sugar cane sweetness, lightly smoky wood, herbal nuances and candied fruits.
The finish is long and intense with roasted coffee notes. Opthimus Cum Laude 15 is especially suited for sipping neat at room temperature.
