Padre Azul is made in the Amatitan Valley in Jalisco, Mexico near the city of Tequila in the Tres Mujeres Distillery of Erika Sangadoat, one of the few female tequila burners.

All agaves made from which Padre Azul is made are grown in the amatitan valley where the soil is alkaline, less iron and more basalt contains than in the highlands. The harvest of the Agave at its highest maturity reached between 8 and 10 years is also important to obtain the desired aromas.

This tequila was postponed at least eight months in oak barrels. This gives it his typical pale yellow color and special complexity.
