Penderyn Distillery produces award-winning single malt Welsh whiskeys and spirits in the foothills of the magnificent Brecon Beacons mountain range in South Wales. Penderyn became known for its intensely fruity and soft single malts from Wales.
This single malt matures in former American oak bourbon barrels. The subsequent finish takes place in ex-Islay Quarter Casks.
Gentle notes of peat smoke, fruity orange zest and wheat toast rise to the nose. On the palate you notice a sweet honey note that combines with smoke and a hint of menthol. The finish is medium-long and fresh, with a slight bitter note on the finish.
