The beautiful island of La Réunio, in the middle of the Indian Ocean, has volcanic soil and pure river springs for growing the finest sugar cane. Founded in 1886, the Distillerie Rivière du Mât is one of the oldest on the island and is still in operation today.
After a gentle fermentation and distillation, this Reserve Grand Cru matures for at least 6 years in selected oak barrels in the tropical climate of the island. The result is an exceptionally floral, rich and balanced Old Farm Rum!
Aromas of dried flowers, light tobacco and gingerbread fill the air. On the palate one perceives notes of dried flowers and various spices that give it a long aromatic finish.
