In the small country between the Pacific and the Caribbean, in Costa Rica, there are ideal climatic conditions for the cultivation of sugar cane, which is the basis for the well-known Ron Centenario with its inimitable mild vanilla and cherry aroma and its gentle and balanced taste serves. This is still harvested by hand and mechanically pressed in the distillery founded in 1985.

Centenario 5 years: Centenario 5 years is made from the best rums, hand-aged in oak barrels, which are synonymous with intense aromas. On the palate and in the nose you can perceive intense vanilla and light oak notes.

Centenario 7 Years: The Ron Centenario 7 Years is the result of a long tradition in rum aging. Carefully selected rums mature in former Scotch whiskey oak barrels, which gives the blend a pleasant aroma and taste full of character. Fresh and fruity notes of vanilla, cherries and sugar cane fill the air. This is joined by the aromas of sweet oak. The palate is soft and velvety. The result is a mix of sweet vanilla, cherries and plums. Then a bit spicier with wood smoke, oak and almonds. The finish is medium-long and is accompanied by sweet vanilla.

Centenario 9 years: The different types of rum are stored in this high place for a long time, some up to 12 years. The rum rests in exquisite oak barrels, in which whiskey and brandy previously matured, and is shaped by the aromas of its predecessors in the barrel. Sweet notes of raisins and light notes of brandy fill the air. On the palate you notice a slight sweetness, which is accompanied by vanilla and honey. Spicy aromas, followed by oak wood and vanilla are also noticeable. The finish is long and one perceives notes of cocoa.

Centenario 12 years: The Ron Centenario is the result of a long tradition in rum aging. The Ron Centenario Rum 12 years is gently distilled in the pot style process, these are stills made of copper, which creates a full-bodied and much more full-bodied rum. Thanks to 12 years of storage in bourbon oak barrels, it can develop excellently in the Costa Rican climate and absorb a wide variety of aromas from the barrels. Beautiful aromas of dark caramel, spices and nuts fill the air. These notes continue in the wonderfully harmonious taste and are underlined by oak notes in the long-lasting finish.
