Ron Quorhum 23 Años Solera is an aged rum from the Dominican Republic. This expression comes from Oliver & Oliver, a rum producer of Cuban origin based in the Dominican Republic.
The rum is made using the Solera method. Younger and older rum distillates are brought together, with some components aged for up to 23 years. Maturation takes place in French and American oak casks.
On the nose, it shows fine pastry notes, oak, spice, vanilla, honey, caramel and roasted nuts. On the palate, the rum is smooth, rounded and aromatic, with notes of toffee, caramel, vanilla, dried fruit, wood and sweet spice.
The finish is long, warm and pleasantly oak driven. Ron Quorhum 23 Años Solera is especially well suited for sipping neat at room temperature, in a nosing glass or alongside dark chocolate.
