Santiago de Cuba Anejo 8 Anos is a rum from Cuba that represents smooth and easy-to-drink Caribbean rums. The rum matures for eight years in old oak barrels. This ageing process gives Ron Añejo its balanced taste profile and intense aroma.
The nose reveals aromas of toffee, coffee and cocoa. There are also notes of vanilla, honey, oak, cinnamon and juicy fruit. On the palate, there are again aromas of passion fruit, peach and apricot. The spicy aromas of cinnamon and pepper are balanced by sweet and slightly acidic flavors. The finish ends with a long, dry and rather spicy aroma.
