Slane Irish Whiskey is deeply rooted in the authenticity of the village, castle and people of Slane Ireland, as well as the colorful history of the Conyngham family itself. This unique history is grounded in authenticity and gives the distillery its character to create a unmistakable and special brand. A blend of malt and grain whiskey is matured in three different casks during the triple cask aging process: new American oak; in seasoned Bourbon or Tennessee Whiskey casks or in an Oloroso Sherry cask. Matured in this way, they are masterfully blended together by selected experts to create our unique Slane Irish Whiskey.
Slane Extra Sherry Wood is the first edition of the Slane Wood series. Barrel aging follows Slane's signature three-barrel approach, which includes: The use of pure oak casks, flavored Tennessee whiskey and Oloroso sherry casks count.
The increased influence of Oloroso deepens and intensifies the dried dark fruit notes.
Notes of dried fruit and spices with a hint of vanilla rise to the nose. On the palate, this whiskey is rich and smooth with sweet fruit and Christmas spices. You can also notice nuances of roasted oak. The finish is long and warming with lingering chocolate notes.
