Talisker Distillery is a whiskey distillery on the Isle of Skye in Scotland.
This special edition was bottled in a combination of white, tawny and ruby port casks. Bottled at natural cask strength, the Talisker Wild Explorer Special Edition is a true tribute to the maritime adventures and exploratory pleasures of a bygone era. This unusual selection of casks gives Talisker an exceptional balance. A golden, sweet glow drifts through a waft of smoke, trailing a hint of sea salt. This whisky is sweet and fruity with notes of white grapes, dark fruits and some sea salt. On the palate, it is creamy, smooth and rich, and oceanic notes can also be detected. The finish is long-lasting, rich and slightly smoky.
