Tamnavulin Distillery opened in 1966 on the banks of the River Livet, deep in the heart of Speyside, Scotland's most famous whiskey producing region. A small group of talented craftsmen began creating the distillery's signature Speyside malt over 50 years ago. Only selected ingredients were used, combined with centuries-old distilling expertise.
Tamnavulin Oloroso Cask is a Speyside single malt that was first matured in American oak casks and then finished in special Oloroso sherry casks. It is the perfect complement to Tamnavulin's sweet, smooth and gentle taste.
Aromas of a moist fruitcake drenched in Oloroso sherry fill the air with notes of candied orange peel, marzipan, crushed almonds and ginger. The palate is rich with flavors of tarte tatin, pineapple and maple syrup, followed by hints of thick treacle cake and orange marmalade. The finish is also rich and smooth - a typical Speyside malt.
