This whiskey is produced by the Chita distillery of the same name and is part of the Suntory Group. The distillery is located in Nagoya Port in Aichi Prefecture. However, Chita is a pure grain distillery that produces the present "" The Chita "" on the one hand and the grain whiskey is used to produce the Hibiki Blended on the other.
Unlike malt whiskey, which is made from barley, grain whiskey is made with corn, wheat, or rye, and the production process is a little different. Malt whiskey is produced in the discontinuous pot-still process, while grain whiskey is continuously distilled in so-called coffey-stills, which achieve a higher proportion of alcohol.
This single grain whiskey is only available on the Japanese market. The whiskey is fresh and slightly fruity in taste with a pleasant wood note.
