First matured in ex-bourbon American white oak casks for an underlying aroma of soft vanilla and honey notes. The whiskey is split between Moscatel casks, Malmsey Madeira casks, Matusalem sherry casks, aged port wine pipes and Cabernet Sauvignon wine casks. The five parts are then brought together to harmonize with each cask, giving the whiskey its distinctive characteristics and aromas.
