The London Nº1, blue Gin is distilled in London. It harks back to the complex and powerful gins of yesteryear, albeit with a modern twist. The London Nº1 is made in the classic style of the 18th and 19th centuries when London was a hub for spices from all over the world. English grain distillates of the highest quality and the purest spring water from north London form the basis for a triple distillation.
On the nose you can perceive a soft, sweet tone, which is very interesting with some liquorice and herbs. Its taste is dominated by a great interplay of herbs and spices, some of which appear dry.
The London Nº1 Sherry Cask is the result of the distillation of 12 botanicals in grain alcohol in copper stills and subsequent maturation in American oak casks that previously contained sherry wine (Tío Pepe). This maturation gives it a pale yellow color. As it matures, it takes on a light yellow color, which is created by extracting components from the oak wood. The gin matures for 3 months in barrels that previously contained Tío Pepe for more than 10 years. With an alcohol content of 43 degrees, it is best suited to optimally combine all the aromatic properties of gin and wood.
