Dufftown Distillery is a whiskey distillery in the whiskey town of Dufftown, Banffshire, Scotland, Great Britain, which has been producing fine single malts since 1896. The Singleton Dufftown is particularly famous for its elegant flavors with notes of grass and fruit.

This unusual and exclusive first refill barrel variant from The Singleton Dufftown was matured in refill hogsheads made from American oak for 17 years.

Notes of honey rise into the nose, but you can also perceive traces of beeswax. This is followed by a slightly floral note of dry grasses or wallflowers, with fresh fruit and an earthy base with a slight candy sweetness.
The taste is sweet and intense and slightly oily. Here, too, you can perceive a touch of beeswax. The finish is long and warming with white pepper that turns into chillies in the aftertaste.
