Tomatin is a whiskey distillery in the village of Tomatin on the eastern edge of the Monadhliath Mountains in the northern Scottish Highlands.
This is a limited edition box. This contrasting box of Tomatin Highland Scotch Whiskey contains a Tomatin Whiskey aged in Bourbon casks and a Tomatin Whiskey aged in Sherry casks.
The bourbon cask has sweet notes of honey, vanilla and almonds on the nose. A light citrus note is also present, which is also noticeable on the palate. Notes of raspberries and vanilla join the citrus note on the palate. A sweet and fruity bourbon.
The sherry cask also has sweet and fruity notes of toffee, apple and raisins. On the palate one perceives sweet and spicy notes of cloves, cinnamon, raisins and vanilla. This is a sweet, spicy whiskey.
