Wagemut is a young, family run company from Quickborn near Hamburg. The brand was founded by Nicolas Kröger and is run together with Florian and Adrien Kröger. Its focus is on characterful spirits, transparent production, special cask maturation and handcrafted bottlings.

Wagemut PX Cask Strength 10 Year Old is a powerful rum based spirit with Barbados origin and a German cask finish. The bottling is based on a 10 year old Barbados rum that was later finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.

At 58.7% vol., this limited release is bottled at cask strength. This gives it an especially intense, dense and aromatic profile. The sweetness of PX sherry meets powerful wood notes, dark fruit, spicy depth and warm cask strength.

On the nose, it shows raisins, dates, vanilla, caramel, some oak and gentle spices. On the palate, Wagemut PX Cask Strength is sweet, oily and intense with toffee, dark fruits, sherry, brown sugar and spicy wood notes.

The finish is long, warm and sweet spicy with raisins, oak and dark chocolate. This bottling is a good choice for drinkers who enjoy powerful cask strength, clear PX sherry sweetness and aromatic Depth.
