Whyte and Mackay can trace their roots back to Glasgow in 1844. The family name Whyte stands in Scotland for the famous MacGregors clan, whose descendants were James Whyte, the co-founder of Whyte & Mackay.

This blended scotch from Whyte & Mackay is a beautiful blend that can convince with full and rich flavors. It receives these aromas through a double ripening process.

First, 35 single malts aged between four and eight years aged in American oak barrels are married, which are then aged for three to four months in a sherry barrel. Then, in another marriage, six grain whiskeys are combined with the malts, which are allowed to mature for another two to three months in the former sherry barrel.

Fresh accents of marzipan, manuka honey, creamy caramel and demerara sugar fill the air, followed by a whisper of glazed pineapple, apple cider and praline chocolate. On the palate it has slightly sweet vanilla aromas and subtle hints of ripe berries. There are aromas of tropical fruits, rosehip syrup, caramelized orange segments and macaroons and ends with peaches in syrup, liquorice and Seville jam. The finish is long-lasting and very powerful.
