The Behn company was founded in 1892 by Waldemar Behn as a beverage wholesaler. Waldemar Behn sold beer to construction workers on the Kiel Canal. In 1906, Waldemar Behn bought the brewery in Eckernförde, where the company is located today. The range of Waldemar Behn GmbH now includes many different spirits.

WIKINGER NOORGAARDis a gin inspired by Norse mythology and legend while bridging the gap to the authentic and fascinating world of the Vikings. A hint of honey sweetness connects it with the successful WIKINGER MET series, which now contains 43.9% vol. after WIKINGER NYDAM honey liqueur. The NOORGAARD carafe is based on a historical rune stone that King Sven Gabelbart erected near Haithabu for his loyal follower Skarthi over 1000 years ago and shows his detailed inscriptions on antique granite.
On the nose and on the palate you can perceive sweet notes of berries, honey, juniper and herbs.
