The Zaya Gran Reserva 16 year old rum has only been available in Europe for a few years. It matured under perfect conditions and a perfect climate for 16 years in carefully selected American white oak barrels, which gives it its perfectly balanced aroma picture. The Zaya 16 year old consists of a blend of rare rums that are up to 16 years old and allowed to mature for up to 16 years.

Strong vanilla notes rise to the nose with a little sweet caramel and dark cocoa. On the palate it is full-bodied with notes of dark cherries and ripe bananas accompanied by notes of tropical fruits. The finish is long and with a wonderfully balanced spice and sweetness, this is a beautiful exceptional rum.
