1820 Jørgen B. Lysolm, one of the pioneers of Norwegian spirit production, found his distillery and laid the foundation for today's remarkable tradition of the Aquavits from Norway. In 1780, Catharina Lysolm built the ship "Trondhiems Prøve" in cooperation with her brother, an important craftsman. In 1805, the ship left the harbor for East India with a cargo potato brand and other goods. Five barrels of the cargo remained unsupported and were returned to Norway in 1807. On their return, it was found that the taste of this far-roused aquavits has become softer and the taste changed through the journey. Line Aquavit was born. To date, each bottle contains aquavit details for its four months of sea voyage in sherry barrels.

Line is a potato burn with caraway and herbs. The combination of caraway / anise plays an outstanding role in the aroma. Old sherry notes give a rich, rounded taste, where anise, cums and oak lend complexity. Standing rolling and changing temperature and humidity during the sea voyage bring line to an unprecedented smoothness.
