Behind the small manufactory from the Netherlands is Thomas Klaphake, the owner of the premium manufactory in our neighboring country, which has been producing cigars since 1832. De Olifant mainly produces so-called "dry" Indonesian Dutch-style products. The Dutch premium manufacturer is a gem in terms of its ambience and the quality of its products. What is unique about De Olifant cigars worldwide is the fact that each format has its specific blend. The special production method of De Olifant makes it possible to combine up to 20 different tobaccos in one cigar model.
As in an alchemist's kitchen, the melangeur can "season" the cigar in this way. Each of the individual types of tobacco brings its own characteristics such as sharpness, sweetness and freshness to the model. The crowning glory: the cover sheet.
