The family, headed by Carlos Fuente, has been making cigars since 1912. Most of the wrappers for this series come from the 1984 harvest, making them probably the oldest wrappers that are used for a continuously produced series of cigars the cigars a spice and richness of aromas that are otherwise not known from the Dominican Republic.
The Arturo Fuente Chicos, formerly known as Cubanitos, bring the distinctive character of the traditional Gran Reserva series to a remarkably compact format. These small, handmade cigars originate from the Dominican Republic and feature carefully selected Dominican tobaccos complemented by an African Cameroon wrapper.
Despite their small size, the Chicos offer a surprisingly rich flavour profile. Creamy woody notes and pleasant spices define the opening, accompanied by subtle roasted aromas and a touch of natural sweetness. As the cigar develops, hints of toasted almonds, coconut and sweet nougat emerge. The characteristic Arturo Fuente Gran Reserva flavour remains clearly recognisable throughout.
Measuring 105 mm in length with a diameter of 11.9 mm and a ring gauge of 30, the Chicos offer a shorter smoking experience lasting approximately 20 to 30 minutes. The ten cigars are presented in a practical metal tin, providing convenient storage and protection during transportation.
