The family, headed by Carlos Fuente, has been making cigars since 1912. Most of the wrappers for this series come from the 1984 harvest, making them probably the oldest wrappers that are used for a continuously produced series of cigars the cigars a spice and richness of aromas that are otherwise not known from the Dominican Republic.
The Arturo Fuente Opus X Robusto is one of the most renowned premium cigars from the Dominican Republic. Part of the legendary Fuente Fuente Opus X series, it is crafted entirely from Dominican tobaccos. Its distinctive feature is the exceptional wrapper grown at the Chateau de la Fuente plantation. The Opus X was among the first Dominican puros to gain international recognition for its locally grown wrapper.
The Robusto delivers a full bodied, complex and richly layered flavour profile. Intense notes of cedarwood, leather and earth combine with roasted nuts, dark chocolate and a subtle natural sweetness. Spicy hints of pepper add depth and intensity, while the flavours continue to develop throughout the smoke. The carefully balanced tobacco blend creates a distinctive smoking experience with a long lasting finish.
Measuring 133 mm in length with a ring gauge of 50 and a diameter of 19.8 mm, this handmade longfiller cigar features a classic Robusto format. The three cigars are presented in a beautifully designed metal case featuring the characteristic Opus X artwork.
