Asbach Uralt is the brand name of the oldest German brandy, named after the company founder Hugo Asbach, who founded an "export company for German cognac" in Rüdesheim am Rhein in 1892. After several company sales, Asbach GmbH is now a subsidiary of Semper idem Underberg AG.
"Asbach Urbrand" is a fine old distillate. The unique taste is created by multiple distillation, long storage in barrels made of Limousine oak and refined by the secret Asbach maturation and refinement process.
This brandy is a real eye-catcher with its amber colors with copper tones. The scents of vanilla, some cocoa and fine wood fill the air. In terms of taste, this "Asbach Uralt" is initially rather dry with notes of dried fruit and then slightly fine sweetness. A pleasant pepperiness accompanies light chocolate and coffee notes. In the finish it has a subtle oak note.
