The history of the Braastad family spans centuries, but the history of Braastad Cognac began in 1875. Médéric Tiffon founded the Tiffon House of Cognac on the banks of the Charente River in France.

This noble XO is an extremely successful composition of some of the finest cognacs from the Grande and Petite Champagne growing areas, which are considered the best areas for cognac. The quality designation Fine Champagne requires that at least 50% of the cognac in the blend comes from Grande Champagne and the rest from Petit Champagne. In order to be allowed to call itself XO, the youngest element in a cognac must have been stored in oak barrels for at least 6 years. Braastad XO Fine Champagne has an average aging time of 16 to 18 years.

Braastad XO has a dark gold color with reddish tones. It has a well-developed, complex aroma with ripe fruit and floral tones combined with oak tones from long storage. Very soft and round, an elegantly matured cognac with balanced aromas and a hint of rancio. Very long, complex finish with hints of dark chocolate, nuts and lemon.
