Thomas Hine & Co. is a leading producer of cognac , owned by the French company EDV SAS. The Hine House stands since the 18th century on the banks of the Quai de l'Orangerie, the Charente in Jarnac , France. Once the autumn grape harvest is over, the distillation on lees concentrates the flavors of these resolutely acidic white wines increased tenfold. At Hine, the French oak barrels in which the eaux-de-vie were aged are selected to showcase their aromatic profile. The goal is not to mask the aromas with dominant wood tones, but to enhance them as part of a delicate exchange between the eau de vie and the oak bar.

In the cellar in Jarnac have stored 10 years of eaux-de-vie of Grande Champagne. Since 1763, the heritage also leads to an unusual approach to the aging of these distillates. For more than 25 years, they take vintage Cognacs to the humid cellars of Great Britain before returning them to Jarnac at the Hine House. In this XO blend we have combined both qualities, aged in Jarnac and in the UK (Early Landed)

.

Notes of spicy, slightly fruity caramel rise to the nose. Tobacco, a touch of orange peel, toffee, cardamom and caraway are equally prominent here in taste. The finish is long and intense.
